any digital scrappers out there?

We’re home.  I’m planning to write a wrap up of our trip but right now I’m under the gun to make a scrapbook page for my step-grandmother’s 90th birthday.  I could go on for quite some time about how very much I do not want to do this little project.  (I have no emotional connection to the woman despite knowing her almost 30 years, I seriously doubt she will even remember me or my kids, I don’t have one single photo of her and I together…. )  But my step-mom asked everyone to do a page for a book she’s making and there will be a big party next week (yes, I’m a horrible procrastinator!) so I need to get this thing done, like today.

All of that to say…  does anyone out there have experience making digital scrapbook pages online?  I’d love to find a site with lots of easy lay-outs to use that can also print the page and send it to me.  Any suggestions??

I’m not any help, but hoping someone can. I love to paper scrap, but I simply don’t have the time any more. I am thining digital would be a possibility for me. You know, late at night, everyone is going to sleep, it’s quiet and I don’t have to drag out all the supplies a good scrapbook needs OR put it all away.

I’ve recently become a digital scrapper while waiting for an adoption referral. I got hooked on FotoFusion after admiring Donna’s Double Happiness blog. I have some FotoFusion digital scrapbooking links on my blog. Good luck! It’s fun and makes you want to take better photos of things you wouldn’t normally photograph. Check out Donna’s Family FotoFun Fridays with links of what other families are doing with digital photos.

Chris, I am hoping someone will answer this as I want to know too!

I don’t know anything about it, but I think you should ask your question on the Holt post-adopt board. I seem to remember that there were more than a few moms on it who did alot of digital scrapbooking.

Scrap what? What are you talking about? What is that?!?! Hahaha. I can not even imagine needing to find time for something like that these days. I’m not sure if I feel sorry for you or if I’m extremely jealous! haha

Sorry - no help at all. Actually I was hoping to find that someone had left a comment giving all kinds of good suggestions, as I would LOVE some help in this area, too!

I have seen some good books from Memento, in San Francisco. http://www.mementopress.com/

They seem to have a bunch of different kinds of books, all at different prices. They are a full service type shop, and not like “traditional scrapbooking”, more like “elegant photo book”, but perhaps okay for your purposes?

Also, the mac has some groovy applications that can make some scrapbook-like pages for you, and then there’s Photoshop Elements (they have a demo for the PC) that you can choose different types of layouts, etc.
I’ve tinkered with it a bit, but haven’t really printed anything out, so I don’t know how good the quality is…

Good luck! Great blog!

Shutterfly.com has been an excellent way for me to save time scrapbooking on-line. They also have an option for printing collages in any size you would need.

Hope that helps.
